Terrain Gallery Fundraiser

MARCH 2025 (Date TBD) • 6pm - 9pm

terrain Gallery • 628 n. monroe

Help us keep our Gallery FREE to show in and FREE to the public!

Join us for our Terrain Gallery fundraiser art show featuring artwork from a diverse range of local and regional artists. Each piece will be available for $200/each! It’s a super fun way to get your hands on artwork from coveted local artists at INCREDIBLE prices, and a great way to start building that art collection of yours.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • No bidding, no waiting on pins and needles to see if you get outbid. Simply choose a piece you love and it’s yours!

  • Artwork won't be seen until the fundraiser goes live!

  • About 75% of the art historically sells in the first 30 minutes, so mark those calendars, save that date and plan to arrive early!

This fundraiser is artist-led, and each artist who chooses to participate has decided to donate 100% of the proceeds directly back to the gallery. This generosity not only underscores their belief in the value of spaces like Terrain Gallery, but also a shared vision of a more equitable, empathetic, fair, and beautiful city. We cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are for this kind of support.

What is the gallery fundraiser?

A few years back, local artists Carl Richardson and Mardis Nenno came to us with a proposition. They wanted to find a way to help raise funds to keep Terrain Gallery open. We’ve played around with a couple of different concepts, and this year, we are selling 68+ pieces of artwork for $200/each. Each artist has chosen to donate 100% of the proceeds directly back to the gallery — THANK YOU!!! — and now we're hoping you will help us reach our goal of $20,000 by purchasing their beautiful creations!

What is Terrain Gallery?

We believe art and creativity have the power to transform Spokane into a stronger, more economically diverse, just, and vibrant city. Terrain Gallery is a critical component of this work, providing artists from a variety of cultural backgrounds, artistic practices, and abilities, a beautiful and professional platform to show their work.

The gallery is a space for the community to come together and exchange ideas, and challenges us to see the world through multiple perspectives.

Why should I support?

Help us keep Terrain Gallery FREE to attend and FREE participate in! Supporting Terrain Gallery not only shows a commitment to Terrain and the artists of Spokane, it communicates your shared belief in building a more equitable, empathetic, fair, and beautiful city.

Commitment to Inclusion

One of the foundational principles of Terrain Gallery is to show the work of as diverse populations as possible. To date, we have shown the work of 269 artists — 127 whom identify as artists of color, and 86 who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+. 65% of Terrain Gallery shows feature at least one artist who identifies as BIPOC and/or 2SLGBTQIA+. This is significant in Spokane County, where 89% of the population identifies as white.

We have also showcased artwork from groups like unsheltered teens and Spokane's immigrant populations.

Mary Farrell:

“Terrain is such a vital and innovative organization, constantly seeking new ways to interact with both our community of Spokane artists and in support of integrating the arts into the life of our city. Terrain is here for us and I encourage all my fellow artists to be here for Terrain.”
